Placer Fire Equipment, Inc. of Sacramento was formed by Steve Israel and Doug Feldman using cutting technology to drive production cost to a minimum. All of Placer’s custom fire apparatus start with Pro/ENGINEER® Wildfire, the most advance 3-D modeling software available. After the virtual reality truck is engineered with their staff utilizing Pro/ENGINEER they laser cut the parts to within 3/1,000 of inch accuracy.

The assembly is done at their 30,000 square foot facility at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento. Their manufacturing equipment includes: Cincinnati AutoForm CNC controlled press brake; Atlantic 12 foot by ¼” hydraulic shear, EuroMac variable angle notcher, Whitney punch press, Buffalo one ton drill press; Wellsaw horizontal band saw; and various Miller and Lincoln welding machines.

Their experienced staff includes in excess of 50 years of fire truck manufacturing expertise from engineering and manufacturing disciplines. They take pride in their finished product.
